Polypipe has always challenged convention by exploring new ways to meet the needs of the construction industry. Polypipe works actively with standards authorities to develop new ways of integrating post-consumer plastics into our products. Not only is recycled plastic inherently sustainable, it is a light weight, resource efficient and high performance material that is naturally low in embedded carbon. Following eighteen months of product development and new investment in manufacturing technology, we are proud to present the new Ridgidrain surface water drainage system – produced from up to 100% recycled polyethylene.
Sourcing the correct grade of material has formed an important part of our research – we only use grades suitable for our extrusion and blow moulding processes. To ensure consistency in the cleaning and processing of materials, we have invested extensively in new production equipment. It is this attention to detail that guarantees consistent levels of quality in our recycled polymer, giving you complete confidence in performance levels.
