Traditional rubble fill or granular soakaways typically have a 30% void ratio. The latest technical solutions, such as the Polystorm modular units, have a 95% void ratio. This allows soakaways to be downsized, reducing site excavation and disposal costs, not to mention reducing the energy expended by construction activity.
