Domus Rigid Duct Systems

Domus Rigid Duct Systems

Efficient airflow is dependant on duct size, good surface finish and water-tight joints. To achieve this, consistent profiles, tight extrusion tolerances and accurate mouldings are essential. Polypipe consider quality of utmost importance and this is reflected in our market leading Domus duct systems.

Available in 8 different profiles to suit any application, the Domus rigid duct range is also the widest and highest quality available in the industry, with a full set of adapters to enable a simple or complex system. Duct Installation is simple and straightforward and the range is further enhanced with integrated fire stopping & sound attenuation components.

Designed to provide 2 hours of fire-stopping integrity within Domus duct systems, FireBrake has been tested by BRE to BS476/ EN 1366-3.

Microban® protected Silencers reduce transmitted appliance noise and room to room cross talk.

Performance data is available for each Domus system to enable specifiers to calculate and match appliance pressure to system resistance and ensure correct operation.

Within a whole house system, branches can be installed with duct profiles appropriate to the requirements of the individual air valve, however to ensure the system can be balanced, most installations specify one profile throughout the system. Use the selector below to determine the correct duct system for individual fans and the main trunk duct for central ventilation systems.

Please insert duct selector table.

Once a profile has been specified and the duct layout designed, the duct system resistance must be calculated to ensure that the appliance has sufficient power to more than match the resistance of the complete system.

Note:

All components are listed with one of three connection profiles;

M  Male; the fitting will fit inside the duct.

F    Female; the fitting will fit outside the duct.

D   Duct; the connection profile is the same as the duct and may need a Male or Female straight connector to couple to the duct.
